It's funny that Game Boy games such as Pokemon didn't need complex musical compositions or CD-quality sound to be incredibly successful and be played well into the twenty first century by tens of millions of gamers. The market didn't seem to value or expect a high sound quality on handhelds. And this was good news for Nintendo, a highly conservative company usually reluctant to include big technological advances on its hardware from one generation to another. |
