If it was authentic I would have expected a serial number under the BB, or by the rear dropouts. There is no Pinarello serial DB on the web, so you have to contact customer support for authentication with your serial number. If it is a knockoff, then its still a nice looking steel bike to be ridden. – Criggie ♦ Mar 25 '18 at 19:09. 'where is the serial number of your Pinarello?' I will have to look, myself! It has been many years since I rode those bikes (I do still ride the track bike in winter). Usually, it can be found on the bottom bracket shell or it is stamped into the left side rear dropout. Chro me has some damage where the back of the c rankset was mounted(I thi nk the c hain was stuck) Dating from the mid eighties 1985/ 1986. Mad e with Columbus Cromo r steel tubing. And Campagnolo( Pinarello bra nded) drop outs. Serial number is AO655 Comes with a Shimano 600/ Ultegra bottom bracket and a Stronglight headset installed. Locating your bike's serial number The majority of serial numbers are located under the bottom bracket where the two pedal cranks meet. Simply turn your bike upside down and record the number. If there is no serial number there then check places like the headset at the front of the bike or the rear stays.
The above picture is of the frameset after I got it back from being shot-blasted.
It’s a late ’70’s Pinarello frameset, most likely a Treviso.
I original had a Campagnolo Nuovo Gran Sport gruppo on it, and was a light blue with ‘Farnholt’ decals.
I made the mistake of having the frameset powder-coated a blue shade, but the coating was too thick ,

and the lugging lost it’s definition, hence the second shot-blasting.
I am really tempted to go ‘naked’, and have the frame clear powder coated, and re place the decals.
The reason being that I would like to participate in vintage orientated races (imagine-L’Eroica!), and on something like this
I would be able to concentrate on the ride/race and not worry about damaging paintwork.
